Brian
R. Welsh is a graduate of the SUNY at Buffalo School of Law,
and a cum laude graduate of SUNY at Buffalo with a degree
in political science. He is a member of the Erie County and
New York State Bar Associations. As part of the matrimonial
law department of Siegel, Kelleher and Kahn, LLP he devotes almost
his entire practice to
matrimonial and related actions. He
is a member of the Matrimonial and Family Law Committee of
the Erie County Bar Association, and has lectured extensively
on behalf of the Erie County and New York State Bar Associations,
the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, the New York
Society of Independent Accountants, the Appellate Division
of the Fourth Judicial Department, and the NYS Office of Court
Administration. He also served as Regional Counsel to Parents
Without Partners, Inc. an organization devoted to the welfare
and interests of single parents and their children and in
1989 he was named Outstanding Young Lawyer by the Erie County
Bar Association.
Mr. Welsh currently
serves as Dean of the Erie Institute of Law, which oversees
continuing legal education programs for over 4,000 members
of the Erie County Bar Association.
Mr. Welsh is active in community affairs.
He serves on the Board of Directors of the Volunteer Lawyers
Project, Inc., a non-profit agency which provides pro bono
legal services to persons in need. Mr. Welsh is
Counsel to St. Peter's United Church of Christ in West
Seneca, New York, and Cubmaster of the Cub Scout Pack 563 in
Clarence, New York.
